REMARKS/ SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Volunteers should have interest in leading a group of young people. We are looking for mature

personalities. The group fRilingue is looking for people who likesport and creative activities and who like to support youngsters in their own talents. Volunteers should be able to prepare a meal. The international Workcamps consist of small groupsof four Volunteers, additionallythey will work together with Swiss Volunteers from fRilingue. If you are interested to be a partof this workcamp please send a short motivation letter. Age: 20+!

LEISURE ACITIVITIES/ BENEFITS FOR VOLUNTEERS

Discovering the charming region of Schwarzsee with its fascinating wildlife and nature - ideal for nature lovers, families and sports lovers! Twice a week, volunteers will accompany the adolescents on an afternoon journey to the close by region. On the weekends longer excursions are planned. The evenings will involve social events where the volunteers can participate and enjoy.

GARDENING IN DAVOS

This Middle Term Position (MTV) is open for Volunteers who like to stay in the nature and who are interested in garden work. In the beautiful region of Davos (Schatzalp) there is the „Alpinum“, a huge botanical garden in the mountains. An association was founded to support this garden and to save some rare species and the nature over there for the next generation. In this botanical garden guests can find many rare plants and more than 3500 different types of species and cultivars. This magic place is for everyone who loves nature.

FESTIVAL IN ZURICH

The 16th Kulturfestival Integration is a Festival with mainly black culture and music. The Kulturfestival is a face-to-face encounter for people of all cultures and ages. The event shows chances and difficulties of integration in multicultural societies.

WORK

Davos: The Volunteers will support the gardener in his daily garden work. Work is seven hours a day, two days per week are off. The group of Volunteers consists of four people. Interested candidates should be autonomous and self-managing. Leisure activities have to be organized independently. - Volunteers will receive a small pocket money, food and lodging.

Zurich:Support of the festival-staff in Backstage, Bar, Sport, promotion.

ACCOMMODATION

Davos:Volunteers will stay at the hotel Schatzalp in the personal flat and spend the time together with the employees of the hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided from the personal canteen. In the hotel there are staying the ordinary holiday guests.

Zurich:Volunteers will stay in a Youth Hostel in Zurich (breakfast is included). Lunch and dinner are provided from the Festival.

LOCATION

Davos: Set in an exceptionally beautiful bowl of mountains Davos is the highest town in Europe at 1560 meters. In Davos there is the world class ice hockey, cross country skiing and ice skating. In the traditional hotel Schatzalp you enjoy a glorious panoramic view across the valley. The Volunteers will have the chance to see an incredible beautiful part of Switzerland.

Zurich:Zurich is an important economic and cultural centre in the heart of Europe. Zurich is set at the lake of Zurich with the view of the faraway mountains and it offers a lot of cultural activities. About 380’000 inhabitants are living in Zurich from more than 160 different countries. Zurich is a multicultural city with a lot to offer and beautiful spots to visit.
