Student Life

Undergraduate housing at the University of Chicago is provided through the University House System. Students in the House System belong to a campus community that crackles with intellectual energy.

The faculty in the College believe that the House System plays an important role in a student's academic and social adjustment to the College. While students of all four class years live together throughout the House System, all first year students are required to live in the House System in order to help facilitate their transition to life at UChicago.
