Financial Structure

A core function of Greenpeace International is to act as the conduit for redistributing global Greenpeace income according to global priorities; and to coordinate the process of establishing the long-term organisational development plans for all offices.

Management Structure

The International Executive Director (IED) is responsible for day-to-day management of Greenpeace International, and manages the Senior Management Team.

The Senior Management Team comprises Directors who are each in charge of certain areas of the daily operations.

The Programme Director and Deputy Programme Director are in charge of the campaign areas: C&E (Climate & Energy), Oceans, Forests, SAGE (Sustainable Agriculture, Genetic Engineering) & Toxics; and the Actions, Science, Political & Business and Legal units.

Governance Structure

Greenpeace International, the body that coordinates global Greenpeace policy and strategy, is an organisation of about 175 staff who are largely based in Amsterdam.

Greenpeace's work is based on a number of key principles:

· Bearing witness;

· Non violence;

· Independence;

· Greenpeace has no permanent friends or foes;
