Scene # 7. The One with Extremely Successful Pizza Lunch

Rome. Place of the arrival.

 

 

A - Buon jorno belle ragazze! Welcome to incredible magnificent shining Italy!

 

Businesswomen - Buon jorno!

 

A - Let me introduce myself. My name is Anna,

S – I’m Alexandrine - (TOGETHER – A PART OF TRADITIONAL ITALIAN TALK)

 

A – Well (SMILE) My name is Anna. I’m PR-Manager and I am responsible for conducting the project!

 

S – I am Alexandrine. I represent Marketing Department.

 

K – Nice to meet you. I’ m Irina and this is my partner Catherine. As you know, we are here on behalf of our company board.

 

A – Yes, “I.C.E.”… It has nearly become a household name by word of mouth worldwide!

 

I – well, thank you!

 

A - And now we would like to invite you to talk about our business during a lunch..

S - …with our traditional pizza!!

Lunch.

 

S – So how was your flight?

 

(VERY EMOTIONALLY AND FAST)

A - Oh, I can imagine! It is an everlasting problem of all Italian services! Don’t even say a word! It is really irritating when you stand in the middle of overcrowded parking lot with carry-on baggage behind your back and just can’t do any!!

 

S – Yeah, and these awful constant traffic problems! Or an outrageously poor condition of national heritage sights! It has become a commonplace! All the architectural and cultural splendour fails to grab your attention, after all!

 

K – Oh, no-no-no. We are truly delighted to be here. And the whole journey seems to be an unforgettable experience! Maybe we are the happy rare exceptions! Still everything was perfect!

 

I - Indeed, we didn’t notice any drawback! We can only admire of the wonders of Roman art and architecture and opera as well!! It just took our breath away!

 

A - I am so pleasant to hear it! J Truly, people tend to hardly deal with culture shock!

 

K – And such a warm welcome you give! We were afraid of being like a fish out of water, but it really feels like being home!!!

 

S – We appreciate your praising of our hospitality!

 

K – And look at you! We are aware that you Italians are totally pro brands. You, ladies, are looking so fashionable…

I - …and SEXY!!!

 

A – Well, yes, it’s a kind of an obsessive idea for all Italians. We can be loyal to brands! I doubt that a lot of people wear overalls and buy oats out of sacks! J

 

S – Well, I suppose it’s high time for us to move to the main aim of our meeting.

 

A - As we understand correctly, we are to create design for brand new car model. And at the same time the main point is to develop personal brand.

 

I – yes, you’re totally right!

 

S - Before we start our advertising compaign we should create your brand image, brand name and the label of a product . It will provide guarantee of brand awareness for the future.

 

A - Our company is an expert at marketing. In this aspect, we know everything about current trends and extract information central to attract consumers attention and make your product a distinctive one.



 

S – It is a crucial point to develop a set of associations in the mind of the customer. So we are aimed at making this new concept, as they say, “a beacon in the darkness” .

 

A – Ok, well you have chosen really advantageous location for product promotion. That is a starting point at decision - making process.

 

K - Yes, we need our product to be distributed in two areas: it is Arabian countries with high standarts of living and Brazilian market which budgetary automobile is oriented at. The design should possess all required features…

 

S – So the core values to be reflected are luxury, style, status, for well-off people…

 

A - …and Safety and reliability, being practical and durable and value for money? So the design should say “It’s well-made and affordable at the same time”, yes?

 

I - Yes, you read our thoughts!

 

S- So you want it to have an image of quality and being functional. Okay, we understand your main preferences. We will search for suitable design.

 

K – how are you going to organize this process? Will we start rolling out?

 

A - Well, it is obvious that nowadays changes are to be round the corner. It is no longer up-to-date to run mass production. It’s rather an unheard-of practice. So we make a car with distinguishing image. It can be applied even to a middle class car for Brazilian segment! For inner design we will recruit a fashion expert, who can create high quality fashion items to mark the product on the market.

I – but what about the wide-spread practice of copycat products?

 

S- You can be sure there will be no money losses, since nobody of our clients has been ever ripped off. We protect the brand very effectively from illegal copying.

 

A - Well, the key points are clear-cut. I believe we can start the project in the nearest time

 

K - Yes, I suppose this proves to be a really efficient collaboration!
