TARGET GROUP

This TC is opened to youngsters and youth workers (no age limit) working not only in NGO’s but in all ways of life.

Working language of the TC will be English.

PROJECT SUMMARY

TC ‘Best practices for inclusive society’ aims at discovering new ways to express ideals of equal opportunities and to give young people competences to have active role in our society for combating poverty and marginalization trough and in volunteering. The project idea is to give the right and necessary space to young people for a wide exchange of different visions, approaches, experiences and intercultural backgrounds and to explore the volunteering as tool to let them come out with concrete actions for making their vision on what has to be done for addressing the poverty and marginalization at different levels reality. This Training Course will provide competences and skills to gain knowledge about poverty, marginalization, sustainable peace, human rights, anti discrimination policies and social cohesion and take actions as multipliers for greater social and community involvement in the framework of Youth in Action Program. It will take place in Nova Gradiška, Croatia from 03-11-2012 to 11-11-2012 and it will involve 20 participants coming from 10 different countries. In this way, we will have intercultural group formed by people coming from different backgrounds (ethnic, religious, social, economical etc.) and give them the opportunity to think and learn how to use volunteering as way to break down misperceptions and intolerances and contribute to a more peaceful global society where similarities are celebrated and differences are respected.



 

METHODOLOGY OF THE TC

Plenary sessions, working groups, study visits, brainstorming, ice-breaking, team-building, role playing, energizers, intercultural evening.
