Press Conference Assistant

and others.

2. Socializing:spend five minutes registering with the press conference assistant, greeting acquaintances and talking shop. The panel take their place at the separate table. Reporters take care to strategically position themselves in the press conference room - you don't want to be situated so far from the source that the mediator will not see your hand raised during a question and answer session. But you also want the ability to survey the room, see the people in it and be able to hear everyone.

Opening the press conference: the mediator welcomes everyone, briefly states the subject of the press conference, introduces the panel and invites the spokespersons to make their statements. Speakers make their presentations.

4. Question and answer session: the mediator announces that the floor is open for questions and controls the procedure. Reporters raise their hands to ask questions, introduce themselves before questioning, listen carefully and take notes or record what is being said. Speakers give brief, pointed answers unless required otherwise, reinforcing their important messages.

5. Closing the press conference:when there are no more questions, or if the questioning drags out, the moderator thanks everyone for participation and closes the press conference. It may be noted that the panel is available for interviews. The press conference assistant hands out additional background materials, if any.

6. Interviews (optional):the questions which have not been asked during the press conference for the lack of time or being off-subject can be now addressed to the members of the panel in separate interviews to get more information on the curious points.

7. Analysis of the press conference:the participants present their views on how successful they were in attaining their goals, discuss the positive and negative sides of their strategies, point out and correct each other’s mistakes in communication. Reporters present their press conference stories written in the style and manner appropriate to their roles.
