Financial Accountant - Immediate Contract

Financial Accountant with multinational Industry experience required immediately for 6Month Contract.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 

 

• To ensure timely and accurate financial information is produced in order for the company to meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Preparation of Monthly Financial Information for two or more European entities including Management Accounts

 

• Manage full Trial Balance and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations

 

• Calculation of Cost-plus revenue

 

• Ensuring entities are compliant with local statutory requirements, i.e. VAT returns, Statutory Financial Statements, CT returns and all other filings are completed and filed in accordance with local legislation & timelines

 

• Liaising with local financial advisors to ensure efficient information flows to ensure local accounts are accurate

 

• Ensuring all processes are SOX compliant

 

• Assisting Tax Manager with tax issues across range of European entities

 

• Weekly cashflow monitoring and reporting

 

• Liaising with and assisting external auditors – at both group and local levels

 

• Monthly and annual assistance with forecast and budget preparation

 

• Assisting Finance Manager with various relevant information requirements

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

• 1-2 yrs PQE ACA/CIMA/ACCA with good accounts preparation experience

• Advanced Excel knowledge

• Good Systems experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Work as part of a team

Financial Reporting Accountant

Reporting to: Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting

 

Location: Cork

 

Introduction

 

The Financial Reporting Supervisor supervises the accounts preparation process for our mutual fund clients. The Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Assistant Manager in the co-ordination and monitoring of the accounts preparation and audit processes for specified funds.

 

Responsibilities

 

Supervise the preparation of accounts.

Review financial statement and underlying files.

Ensure completeness of disclosure in financial statements.

Liaise with auditors, clients and other interested parties in completing audits.

Train and develop members of the accounts team.

Keep up to date with technical/regulatory developments.

Prepare accounts for certain funds.

Skills/Knowledge

 

Minimum educational requirements:

 

Third level/accountancy qualification.

Essential skills:

 

Organisational skills and commitment to the delivery of a high quality end product to the client.

Essential knowledge:

 

At least 2 years auditing/accounts preparation experience in a financial services environment.



Knowledge of the relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to the funds industry.

Proven record in preparation of financial statements.
