2. What are the objectives of the Basics of Life Safety course?

to equip students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to: - Create a comfortable (normative) state of environment in the areas of work and recreation;

- Develop and implement measures to protect a person and the environment from the adverse impacts;

- The identification of negative impacts of natural, technogenic and anthropogenic origin; - Design and operate of equipment, processes and facilities management in accordance with the requirements of safety and environmental performance;

- Sustainability of facilities management and technical systems in normal conditions and in emergency situations;

- Forecasting and assessing the consequences of emergencies on humans and the environment;

- Decision-making in protection of population, production personnel from the possible consequences of accidents, natural disasters and the use of modern means of destruction, as well as measures to eliminate their consequences.

What is referred to as “the level of human and social development, characterized by the significance of the provision of life security in the system of personal and social values, in the prevalence of stereotypes of safe behavior in everyday life and in protection from threats and hazards under hazardous and emergency situations in all spheres of life”?

• active involvement of citizens, public organizations and society as a whole to ensure the safety of citizens, making public policy in this area of the national character; • development of the security services, complex services and products that enable the human security, which the market can provide in addition to state protection; • involvement of insurance mechanisms for risk mitigation, formation of positive public opinion in compulsory fire insurance as part of a culture of life safety, explaining the foundations of public policy in the insurance of risk emergencies, the appropriateness of a taxation on fire and other types of security

7. What does the Law of the RK "On Civil Defense" define?

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of 07.05.1997 "On Civil Defense" indicates that the organization and conduct of the Civil Defense (CG) - is one of the most important functions of the state. The law defines the main tasks, organizational principles of construction and operation of the Civil Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the central authority, local representative and executive bodies, organizations, rights and duties of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign citizens and non-citizens resigning in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of Civil Defense.
