There are 2 terms in every ac. year. At the end of the term the students take some exams. The 1-year st. study: physics, chemistry biochemistry, biology… . In the senior years: internal med., gynaecology … .After completing a fullcourse of studies the med. st. take State examination. I think that you will take this exam on "5" with a greatests.

In the p. Department

When p. Are admitted to the hospital they are received by a nurse on duty at the reception ward. The n. on d. fills in the p-ts' case histories. She writes down their age, place of work, address & initial Ds. The doctor must know about the diseases which the p. Had both being child & an adult, about traumas & oper.. At 9 o'cl. In the morn. the d. being the daily rounds & to examine aal the p.. In the morn. the nurse on duty take the p. T, give them intramuscular & intravenous injections, apply caps & the prescribed remedies. After the medical exam. the doctors administer the p-t's different procedures. Some p-ts are administered a bed reg-t, anothers are allowed to walk. The information on the physical examination of the p-t, results, condition of the p-t compose the history of the present illness. The case history must always be written very accurately.

At the Chemist's

On receiving a prescription from a doctor or on following a home treatment all of us need medicines which are ordered or bought at the chemist's. There are 2 department in a large Ch.. At the Ch. A. Fleming

F. was born in 1881. He study the bacterial action & antibacterial drugs in one of the hospitals in London. One day F. saw that the dangerous bacteria disappeared on the plate with some mould. He immediatly began to study this phenomenon. By means of numerous experiments on animals he determined that new substance was not toxic & stopped the growth of pathogenic bacteria. F. called this substance - penicillinum. Then the method of extracting pure penicillinum was found. In 1942 F tried his own first experiment. His ill friend was cured after several injections of penicillinum. F. received the Nobel prize for his great discovery.

Sechenov

S was a prominent Russian scientist, the founder of Russian physiology & scientific physiology. 106 sc. works were written by him. His works included the findings which he had observed & determined before. S found out that most of the blood gases were combined with erythrocytes. He came to the conclusion that hemoglobin take part in exchange of oxygen & carbon dioxide in the respiratory process. S investigated the process of absorption of carbon dioxide by the solutions of salts. He proved that only 2/3 of carbon dioxide were dissolved in plasma. The rest of CO2was combined with red blood cells. The transfer of CO2 from the blood into the lungs was due to the law of diffusion. S was able to answer the question why oxygen passed into the blood from atmospheric gases during the act of respiration.

Rheumatic Endocarditis

The p-t complained of a general malaise early fatigue on exertion, cardiac discomfort, palpitation & incrise of body T. The p-t stated that the onset of disease had been preseded by tonsillitis. The p-t puls rate had been irregular & acselarated on physical exertion. The blood analysis revealed moderate leucocytosis & elevated ESR. On percusson the doctor determined the heart to be slightly enlarge. The doctor found a soft systolic murmur to be heard at the apex of the heart. The diastole murmur to be heard at the base & apex of the heart. It was evedence of iflammatory process in the mitral, aortic & tricuspid valves. The physican considerate the p-t to be ill with rheumatic endocarditis. He was administered antibiotic therapy to eliminate the primary focus of infection. The p-t's diet must be include many Vit. The p-t had been following the adm. treatment for 45 days.

We study anatomy

In the practical Anatomy class we study the human body. The practical parts of the human body are the head, the trunk and the limbs. The head consist of two parts the skull & the face. The face consist of the forehead, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, lips & cheeks, the ears & the chin. The ears includes tree main parts: the external , middle & internal ear. The mouth has two lips. Important structures of of the mouth are the teeth, the tongue, soft & hard palates & the salyvary glands. The head is connected with the trunk by the neek. The bones of the trunk are the spine & the chest. The spine consist of the several, thoracic, lumber & sacral, vertebral & the coccyx. The chest is composed of. Thoracic vertebrae, the brestbone & 12 pairs of ribs. The principal organs in the chest are the lungs, the heart, & the esophagus. The upper extremity is connected with the chest by the shoulder & formed by the arm, forcam & hand. The lower extremity consist of the thigh, leg & foot. The body is covered with the skin.

Polyclinic

The our state has established a wide network of medical institutions to protect the health of our people. One of such medical institutions is the policlinic. If a person fall ill he will ring up his local policlinic and call a doctor. When his condition isn't very poor and he has no high temperature he will go to the local policlinic. Many specialists including therapeutists, neurologists, surgeons and other work at the polyclinic. During the medical examination a physician asks the patient "what he complains of". The physician listens to the partint's heart and lungs and measures his blood pressure. The laboratory findings which include blood analysis, the analysis of urine & other tests help the doctor to make a correct DS. Any physician of the polyclinic knows his p-ts very well because he treats only definite number of patients. At the local polyclinic every p-t has a personal card. If it is necessary a nurse will come to the p-t's house to give the administered injections or carry out any of the doctors administrations.

Andreas Vesalius

V. is 1 of the greatest anatomists. He studied medicine in France. In 1537 he got the degree of doctor of Medicine. His most important book "On the structure of the Human body " consist of 7 books. The bones of skeleton, the joints & cartilagines were described in the 1 book. The muscules - in the 2, the vessels - in the 3, the nerves - in the 4, the alimentory tract - in the 5. In all his works V. studied the anatomy of the H.b. on cadavers. He studied the structure of the H. b. taking into considerations their functions. V. was the 1 scientist who give a proper discription of the H. skeleton. He also determined that the right & the left ventricles of the heart were not connected. This discovery opened the way to the discovery of the pulmonary & systemic blood circulation in future. V. did much to establish new &exact anatomical terms. The works written by V. composed the first anatomy of the H. b. in which everything was based on scientific research work.
