Politics of discipline

Politics of disciplineis a general requirement of a chair to a student during of learning of the discipline which are directed to more mastering of the educational materials by students and fruitful collaboration of the teachers and the students.

The Students must:

· Acquire knowledge, habits and skills in the total volume;

· From the first course to accumulate "Portfolio" in the electronic version in order to achieve competence in the chosen educational path.

· Be respectfully and correctly towards the teachers, employees and the students;

· Be disciplined and neat, be in a worthy manner in the University and hospitals;

· Enter and leave an auditorium after the beginning of the lesson (a factual beginning of the lesson by the teacher) is permitted just by the teacher;

· For the full development of the curriculum for the discipline attending lectures, hands-on, laboratory and seminars is mandatory. On the clinical departments required to attend rounds professor or associate professor, medical councils.

· Comply Chair demands of attendance of IWST (independent work of a student under a teacher control).

· Attend lectures, hands-on, laboratory and seminar classes, exams in medical uniform;

· Have health records with permission from sanitary epidemiologic station at clinical chairs;

· Take the Chair’s properties carefully, it’s not permitted to litter, write on tables; in case of damage of the properties one must compensate the loss. The students must not wear high-heeled shoes.

· Stick to the rules of the fire-prevention safety;

· Stick to the rules of the internal regulations of the University;

· Participate in the life of the Chair actively (working in the circle of the student’s scientific society, measurements of the chair and so on);

· Participate in scientific practical, pathoanatomical conferences and associations according to specialty.

· Switch off the mobile phones during the lectures, lessons.

· It’s not permitted to take mobiles, i–Phone, i-Pad to the exams. In case of using of a mobile, i–Phone, i-Pad as help the student is removed from the exam and he/she is got F mark. If a student uses cribs on an exam or a differential pass the students gets the final mark “Unsatisfactory” automatically.

· For 1 missed class or lecture admission from the dean is required, class / lecture is fulfilled without fail. In the case of untreated lessons in an electronic magazine for every missed class automatically deduction of points.

· Works off at the chairs and course should be performed on the out-of-lessons time; they permitted to take works off during the night duties of professor-teacher staff at the clinics.

• In case of a sufficient excuse (being as an inpatient, in urgent cases – natural disasters, natural calamity, accidents and others) the student, intern or the group leader or his/her relatives must inform the chair and the Dean office about that by any way (by phone and so on) and give the documents which confirm the case during three days. The justificatory documents are: a health certificate from the Student policlinic, the death certificate of the relatives, the blood donor certificate, the marriage certificate, the birth certificate of the child. Interns, residents, graduate students, PhD students must provide sick-list. In case of absence of the confirming documents the reason is counted as an insufficient excuse.

• In case of the sufficient excuse the lesson is worked off free in the volume of the missed material gratuitously if the confirming document and the dean’s admission are given.

· The Chair is given xerocopy of the confirming document with the admission. A student can work off 2 lessons at once (per a day).

· The student must work missed classes for a good and valid reason for 2 months.

· Duration of working off a missed classes unexcused must match the duration of employment on the thematic plan.

· In case of the insufficient excuse of the lesson the student’s works off are chargeable in the volume of the missed hours. The size of the payment is established by a resolution of the Academic Council of the University. The student may work off one lesson for one time.

· After working off the missed lesson “abs” is surrounded and written got mark in the journal.

· In case of the insufficient excuse of the missed lesson the student is taken the mark not more than 3.33. The “abs” is deleted in the electronic journal and the point is marked.

· In case of two or more missed lessons during a month the student is counted as unmarked. The student must work off the missed lessons during 1 month in case of unexcused reason and during 2 months in case of excused one.

· Missed classes should be fulfilled without fail until the rankings. During the last week of the academic period (semester) working out will not be accepted. In case of missing the last classes unexcused per semester student to automatically be marked "0" non-mining.

· In the final session, admission is determined by score ranking (ASR) on the subject, filled rolls ASR in which the student puts his signature on acquaintance, and affixed to the ASR Grade book leading teacher.

· The students, who missed valid reason 25% of the total hours of classroom courses (lectures and practical) tolerance mining dean is issued. In this case, the student is not allowed to interim assessment of the discipline and ought to a paid semester.

· The students, who missed a good reason 25% of the total hours of classroom courses (lectures, practical), you need to work out all the blanks on the individual schedule

· The admissions from the Dean Office and Checks are kept in the group journal.

· If a student has missed the border control day with the sufficient excuse and didn’t work off that day during the one month“0” marks instead of “abs”.

· In case of when the student gets “F” for one subject of the integrative lesson or an adjacent subject of the disciplines of the 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th courses of “General Medicine” specialty the student during the summer paid term (semester) studies just the “F” marked discipline.

· If an exam consists of two or more stages and the student gets “0” for one of the stages the final mark is not counted.

· The final mark is counted only if the student has positive marks both admission rating and the final control (exam/differential pass). In that case a positive mark is included marks from 50% till 100%, unsatisfactory mark – from 0 till 49%.

· A part of the test exam of the final control is 10%.

· Unsatisfactory marks of the current lessons and border control are not worked off. If the student has unsatisfactory marks he/she gets low rating admission mark (RAM) which influences the exams admission as well.

· Re-passing of the positive mark of a border control to increase it is not permitted.

· RAM is marked on the right side of the students’ record books. The mark of the differential pass influences the granting of the stipend.

· Students are admitted to the intermediate and final attestations in case of performing of the educational program with the entire disciplines of the term, getting all passes and RAM. The admission to the exams session is formed by a resolution of the Dean Office by stamping “admitted to session”.

· Transition from one course to another is performed basing on GPA.

· If a student does not get needed quantity of passing ball of GPA he/she repeats learning with deprivation of the educational grant or expelled from the University at will.

· The student who has performed the program of the course in total volume and who has not got enough GPA to boost it may study again the same discipline in the summer (paid) semester and pass the exam except discipline “History of Kazakhstan” (the State exam). Anew mark is not influenced scholarships (getting stipend).

· The student restored after a leave of absence even if he/she has positive marks of the missed disciplines must study entire course and pass the exam.
