Dear colleagues!

We have an honor to invite you for taking part in the IV Scientific conference

“Marxism and contemporary world: economical, philosophical and sociological dimensions of the global crisis”,

which will take place in Kiev, Ukraine

on the 21-22 of November, 2013

Topics of the conference are:

· Historical and logical limits of the development of the capitalism

· Political economy, critique of political economy and economics

· Rosa Luxemburg’s work “The Accumularion of Capital” and the world-system analysis

· Social-economical, intellectual and ideological grounds of the creation of theories of imperialism at the beginning of XX century and today

· Marx’s “Das Kapital” and Rosa Luxemburg’s “The Accumulation of Capital”

· Lenin’s and Rosa Luxemburg’s conceptions of imperialism

· The becoming of world’s history and the destiny of nation states

· The causes of the USSR collapse according to the Marxism and world-systems analysis

· Globalization and “worldwidity” of the history

· The heritage of Rosa Luxemburg and global prospects of left feminism

· World market. World war. World revolution.

· The issue of centers of the world’s revolution movement

· What will come replace the imperialism: ultra-imperialism, “new Middle-ages”, communism…?

· Theoretical heritage of Rosa Luxemburg and modern problems of social-economical management

· Transformations of the world-system – transformations of the world-systems analysis

For the participation in the conference it is necessary to submit till October, 20th, 2013 to the organizing committee following materials:

· The application form for the participation

· The materials of your report

The materials, which are necessary for the participation in the conference, will be accepted exclusively in the digital form. Please, send your materials to the e-mail of the conference: CONF.UA@GMAIL.COM

The application form for the participation in the conference must contain:

• Your name and surname

• Your workplace: organization, department (faculty, chair, , etc.)

• Your position, academic degree, academic title

• Contact phone number, e-mail and post address

• The title of your report

• Accommodation requirements

• Technical support requirements

The organizing committee reserves the right to turn down the texts which are not designed properly or do not correspond to the subjects of the conference. Also the reports written in co-authorship by more than 2 authors will be rejected. The authors are responsible for the contents of their materials.

The admission fee: the admission fee for participation in the conference is 20 EURO (without transfer cost). The admission fee is paid after receiving invitation to the requisites pointed in it.

The admission fee includes cost of program materials, collection of the reports of the conference and does not include expenses on cultural events for the participants of the conference and cost of mailing materials to the participants.

Requirements to the design of the report materials:

Report:typed on А4 pages, margins: 2 cm from each side. Font type: Arial, type size 14 points, line spacing – 1.5. Materials will be accepted exclusively in the digital variant in MS WORD format (sent it to the conference e-mail with an inserted file). The file name should correspond to a family name of the author. The volume of the report should make up 2 full pages.

Arrangement on the page: name, surname of the author and the city in italic type should be placed in the right top corner without stating the academic degree and title; in the middle of the next line must be placed the contact e-mail of the author; in the middle of the next line place the name of the report typed with capital letters in bold-face type; next line is the beginning of the text.

The references under the text must be put in square brackets, with specifying of the surname of the quoted author, the title of the work, year of its edition and page number.

ATTENTION!The organizing committee provides a participant with lodging if the necessity of it has been noted in applicant’s request (including the number of days). Approximate cost is 20 EURO per night. The organizing committee will also inform about the program of the conference.
