1) What is the purpose of the presentation? 2) What percentage of the success of a presentation is due to preparation? 3) What do you need to know about the audience? 4) If the content is good, the presentation will certainly go well. To what extent is this true? 5) What methods can you use to structure your presentation, and to show this structure to the audience? 6) How can you avoid a presentation being a platform to show off how much you know about a certain audience?

5.2 This is a checklist of the essential elements to consider in preparing and planning an oral presentation. Use it yourself by filling in the boxes on the right under “My Ideas”.

5. What do I want the audience to do after listening to my presentation? We must invite them: · to buy my product · to accept my findings · to give me a job

5.4 Work in a pair. You are going to make a presentation. Study the information devoted to the visual aids and discuss with your partner what visuals you will use and give your arguments.
