Gerard's POV

Mikey and I were on top of the Empire State building. We'd just finished fighting crime. He was pretty good for a rookie. We stopped a guy from taking a woman's baby and helped people escape a car wreck. Mikey also convinced a guy wanting to jump off the top of a building to step away from the ledge.

"Wow. I can see why you and Frank come up here a lot. The view is amazing," Mikey pointed out.

"You know, tomorrow, you'll be on the front page of the newspaper," I told Mikey.

"What? Why?" Mikey asked.

"People are gonna wanna know who you are. People were already asking questions when Erica came out and fought Dr. Krustallos and The Executioner with us. But we never gave them the answers and Erica hasn't been seen since. But your costume will be a hit with the ladies, no matter how fucked up it is. You better tell people it's not real fur that you're wearing on your head or PETA will be after you," I told my brother.

"I'm gonna be famous?" Mikey questioned.

"Yeah," I said as he received a text message.

"Hey! It's from Frank," Mikey told me, pressing buttons on his phone.

"What does it say?" I asked him.

"He wants you to drop me at Erica's and then go back to our apartment. I'm guessing he wants to talk or something," Mikey told me. Now I was scared. What if, after today, Frank enjoyed being by himself? What if he had decided for us to break up and that he was gonna tell me that he was moving out? What if he just wanted to be friends again? It would crush me.

"Ok, well let's go," I said, Mikey and I holding onto one another as I flew us invisibly to Erica's apartment. Her bedroom window was open, so I flew right into it. Good thing we flew into her bedroom, because I heard male voices in the other room which sounded very much like Dr. Krustallos and The Executioner.

"He has to fucking help you out. You should make him move in here," Bob's voice spoke.

"We've already talked about that. When the baby gets closer, he's gonna move in," Erica replied.

"Ok. Well anyway, tomorrow make sure you watch the news, ok?" Bob replied.

"Yup, I've got it. Are you sure your plan's gonna work though?" Erica asked him.

"It's fucking foolproof. Those three superheroes don't stand a chance. Especially that ice-bitch. She's gonna be fried alive," Ray said.

Mikey and I were in her bedroom, our ears pressed to the closed door as we looked at one another, our eyes wide as we heard their footsteps getting further away, suggesting that they were leaving. Once Erica had said goodbye to them and they'd exited her apartment, Mikey and I went out of her bedroom door.

"Oh my god! When did you both get here?" Erica asked.

"About 5 minutes ago. We heard some of what they said though so you can just tell us their plan tomorrow before we go out and fight them," I told her. She nodded and looked at Mikey, checking him out.

"You look gorgeous!" she exclaimed.

"I went out and fought crime tonight. Oh my god, it was amazing!" Mikey gushed. Erica giggled and kissed him.

"I'm gonna have to keep watch for any fan-girl who tries to come onto you. Cause no doubt someone will want to jump your bones after seeing you wearing this!" Erica exclaimed.

"Ew. I don't want some fan-girl jumping my bones. I'm gonna need your protection," Mikey spoke to her, wrapping his arms around her. She snuggled into his chest.

"Anyways, I'm gonna go home. Frank wants to talk to me," I said.

"Good luck Gee," Mikey bid me.

"Yeah, I hope everything goes ok. Call us if there's a problem," Erica said to me.

"No! Don't get him to call us! What if we're... celebrating my first day on the job?" Mikey questioned. Erica pulled a pout-face at Mikey.

"Aww. Is the poor baby worried about me chatting to his brother while he's inside me?" Erica said.

"Eww, I am so not calling you," I said, making Erica giggle.

"Good! Bye Gee," Mikey said, waving.

I said goodbye to them and left, flying back home to my apartment. I was so nervous. I didn't know what to expect when I got back to the apartment. Once I arrived back there, I noticed that the apartment had no lights on in it. What if Frank had hurt or killed himself? What if he'd done something equally as stupid. What if he'd already moved out? I didn't want anything bad to happen. As I let my key turn in the lock of my apartment, I prepared myself for the worst. I entered the living room, where I saw Frank's silhouette on the couch, the floor in front of him lit up by the full moon outside.

God, I hoped everything was ok.
