Frank's POV

So I didn't carry out my plan. But Gerard and I are friends again. I had the afternoon off from tattooing people. I was supposed to be doing managerial tasks which basically just involved making sure that the tattoo artists did a good job. So I hung around Gerard all afternoon while he tattooed people. He was so funny. There was a girl he was tattooing who was totally flirting with him.

"So, what time do you finish work?" she asked him.

"Uh, late," he replied.

"Oh. Maybe I could hang around and then after you finish, I can take you out somewhere," she suggested.

"Oh, like a date?" he asked. She grinned at him and nodded. I officially hated this girl right about now.

"Um, I'm sorry, but I only date men," Gerard informed her.

"Oh really?" she asked. "Damn. All the hot ones are either taken or are gay," she said, looking at her hands, her face slightly pink.

"Aw don't worry too much. You weren't to know. I'm sure there's a guy out there who would love to have a girl like you. You just need to find the right one. And you'll find him eventually," he told her. She nodded as he finished her tattoo. He was doing quite well at tattooing and once he'd finished up for the afternoon, we sat around and joked about anything and everything. It felt good to be able to talk to him and joke around with him. I forgot totally about my past and let myself enjoy his company.

We decided to go out for a smoke break where Gerard lit both of our cigarettes in his mouth, using his index finger, before passing one to me. I grinned as I took it and we sat together and talked about how we should hang out at one another's places and do stuff that friends do because Gerard had never had a real friend before and I was gonna be his first real friend. We didn't stop talking until Erica came outside.

"So are you guys together now? Cause I've noticed that you've been hanging around with one another all day," she pointed out.

"We're just friends. And we've been hanging out because I've been supervising him. I am the manager, you know. I do have to make sure everyone's doing a good job," I pointed out.

"Yeah. But like, does that mean that you're free to date other people?" she asked looking at me flirtatiously.

"Yup," Gerard replied, looking at the ground. He looked a little jealous. God, he looked cute when he was jealous.

"So, does that mean that you might consider dating a girl then Frankie? Just to see if you like it?" she asked. I did not want to go out with her.

"No," I replied. "I am gay. I date guys. But I've got some friends you could date," I offered.

"No. It's fine. I'm just gonna go inside now," she spoke, walking away. She was probably embarrassed. I just wished that she would get the message. I did NOT want to date her. I looked over at Gerard who still looked jealous. I leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"You look cute when you're jealous," I complimented him, making him look at me and chuckle.

"You're such a flirt," he pointed out.

"Since this is a state the obvious contest, I have to say, you're so fucking gorgeous with your hair and eyeliner and tight shirts. What made you decide to change you appearance?" I asked him. He blushed and looked at the ground before slowly looking up at me.

"I thought about the day that I had my top off and everyone noticed me all of a sudden. At first, I fucking hated everyone staring at me. But because everyone noticed me, they wanted to talk to me and I felt accepted for the second time in my life," he spoke.

"When was the first time you felt accepted in your life?" I asked him.

"When I met you," he said, smiling, making me grin.

"Fucking suck up," I muttered in a joking tone. Gerard chuckled.

"What, it's true," he spoke, making me blush and my heart speed up. This friendship thing was gonna be so hard. The flirting was already unbearable and I couldn't stop thinking about how hot he was and how funny and friendly he was being. And I didn't think it would get any easier.
