Gerard's POV

I'm invisibly standing in the bathroom cubicle crying. I fucking hate this job. Why does Frank have to be so angry at me all the time? Why do I have to cop all this shit? I can't help setting things on fire. Why did he have to single me out in front of everyone when I'm just trying to do my job? It's no wonder all the other employees here hate my guts. At least Frank put the fire out before it got out of hand. I didn't know watercoolers could break so easily when you dropped them. I hope he doesn't tell the owner. I don't want to be fired.

"Gerard? Gerard. Where the fuck are you?" I heard his voice call out as his feet entered the bathroom. I stayed invisible. I didn't want him to see how messed up I was, blubbering like a baby. He'd probably just yell at me some more.

"Gerard, I know you're in the cubicle. I'm gonna break the door down in a minute. Don't think I can't do it? I've been working out this week," he informed me.

I paused, staying silent and moving as far away from the door as possible. I then waited for the inevitable.

"Ok, I'll count to three. If you don't come out, I'll knock the door down," he warned me. "1.... 2.... 3!"

A thundering crash was heard as Frank shoved the door completely off its hinges with his shoulder. For a small guy, he sure was strong. He paused as he saw 'no one' standing in the cubicle.

"Fuck. Ah well, I only look stupid to myself," he muttered, walking away and leaving the door broken off.

I washed my face and quietly went back out to work, finishing everything I was supposed to before hurrying home. My eyes were still slightly red and puffy from crying. I hoped that no one had noticed at work. So I grabbed some of my brother's eyeliner. We lived together in the same apartment. The old lady downstairs from us thinks we're a couple. Even though we've corrected her at least 1000 times, she still doesn't get that we're brothers. My brother's straight by the way. Putting the eyeliner on, I put on my Dark Ninja outfit and went to fight crime.

Hours later, after The Skeleton and I had fought enough crime to last a whole week, we decided to go and get some take out. I know what you're thinking. How does someone like us walk into a McDonalds or a Pizza joint and get food? It's easy. You walk in the door, order the food, and usually they'll give the stuff to you on the house. The Skeleton and I were currently sharing a cheese pizza between us while sitting on the roof of an office building which overlooked the water. There was one slice left and I figured I'd leave it for The Skeleton to eat.

"Ninja boy, this last piece is yours," The Skeleton said.

"Are you sure? Because if you're hungry--"

"Yes. I am 110% sure. Now here," he said, picking up the pizza and brought it toward my mouth which I opened. I bit down in the slice as The Skeleton pulled it away, the cheese stretching out between my mouth and the slice. The Skeleton giggled as he brought his mouth forward and bit at the stretched piece of cheese, allowing it to break free of the slice. He began eating the piece of stretched cheese all the way towards my mouth as he moved so that he was straddling me. He was about an inch from my mouth when he stopped and paused. I couldn't see his eyes, so I didn't know whether he was staring into mine or not, but he did bite his lip.

I couldn't take all of this sexual tension between us. His crotch was pressed up against mine and I knew it would only be a short amount of time before the blood would rush down south.

The cheese between us broke apart as we both swallowed the food in our mouths. I couldn't help but stare at his lips. I wanted so badly to kiss them. We were finished fighting crime for the night, so there would be no interruptions. The Skeleton tore his face away from me, throwing the pizza slice back in the box before looking back at me and wrapping his arms around the back of my neck. His face began to inch closer to mine and stopped as his lips were just hovering over mine. I could feel his breath hitting my lips as I wrapped my arms around his waist. My heart was beating so fast. This was about to happen. For real this time. I let my eyes slip closed as I pushed my face forward a little. My lips collided with his. They were so warm. So soft. So beautiful, as they moved along with mine. I couldn't help but to grin into the kiss. I felt him grinning too. We pulled away from one another, massive grins on both of our faces.

"I've wanted to kiss you for so long," The Skeleton confessed.

"Me too. I really like you," I informed him, making his smile get bigger.

"I really like you too," he replied, making tears come to my eyes. I'd only ever been in one relationship before. And that person never really liked me. They used me for sex. "Oh hey, don't cry, your eyeliner might run," The Skeleton told me. I chuckled.

"I'm sorry. I've just never had anyone genuinely like me before," I explained.

"You know, you've never worn eyeliner before. Today's the first time I've seen you wear it. And it looks beautiful. It makes your eyes stand out so much. You look breathtakingly handsome. You should wear it more often," The Skeleton suggested. I smiled at his complement.

"You know apparently the newspapers heard us flirting. They wrote about us today," I informed him.

"Yeah, I know. I saved the article," The Skeleton told me.

"You did?" I asked.

"Yeah. It might sound lame and cliché, but I've wanted to be in a relationship with you for a long time. I've kept every newspaper article ever written about us. They're all in a scrap book under my bed," The Skeleton spoke. My heart fluttered. That was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done. He kept articles of us.

"It's not lame. I think it's cool. And I've wanted to be in a relationship with you for quite some time as well. To think, we've really only known each other for a year, when I moved to New York, but in that year, our friendship has grown so much," I spoke.

"Ok, well I guess that means it's ok if I call you my boyfriend?" The Skeleton asked.

"Yeah. As long as that means I can call you my boyfriend," I replied.

"Of course. But I would like to say, that as much as I want to see who is behind the mask and costume, I want to wait for a little while. I wanna wait until we sleep together for the first time. That way we can have the mystery of our relationship until then and we can explore one another's bodies together for the first time when we sleep together. How does that sound to you?"

I thought about his idea. It was a pretty cool idea. It was like blind dating. And we wouldn't know it if we passed one another on the street. I wondered if we ever had passed one another on the street before.

"That sounds cool. You know, I was just thinking. I wonder if we've ever seen one another before and never realized it. It would be so weird if we were standing at a stop light together and never even recognized one another," I spoke.

"Hey yeah. That'd be pretty funny," The Skeleton replied.

We stayed together talking for a while longer. When we were finished, we passionately kissed one another goodnight before I invisibly flew home.
