Education/Creative English camp-Loei

Background

This camp came up with the local impressive of WNEDA Group workcamp from Japan. After finished group workcamp, the local teacher who teach in the temple request the volunteer to exchange with kids in the community where the temple is the center of the community.

Working

Volunteers will brain storm with the teacher to organize teaching for student in the temple and school. This is strong community where the villagers, the monks and the teachers are living as the traditional way as Buddhist living. Volunteers will join the monks activities in early morning to getting food from the villagers. Teaching English and culture exchange with kids in the day time and join local activities during 2 weeks.

Location Thamphasantitham Temple Ban Huay Tad, Muang, Loei

Accommodation and food Volunteers stay at Peace Village, the InterCutual and language Learning Center in Songkhla. Volunteers will stay at the open air dormitory. Mattress and mosquitoes net are provided. Volunteers take turn to cook Thai food, you are expected to bring your ingredients from your hometown for cultural exchange.

Special Remarks

Volunteer should love to play with kids and please bring some teaching material such as book, kids education game, stationary, etc. from your country, it will be the good way for culture exchange and made students have more motivation.

Construction/ Temple & Community Renovation-Perlis, malysia(NEW)

Background

Thai community in Perlis state, Malaysia. In the history some part of Malaysia is own by Siam (Thailand) so there were Thai live in Malaysia (at the present). In Malaysia, there are many nationalities such as Malay, Chinese, Indian and Thai is the smallest race. Perlis located on the north of Malaysia close to Thailand’s border about 70 Kilometers. Thai race in Malaysia is still keep living as Thai way.

Working

Volunteer will renovate some parts of the temple such painting, fixing and cleaning temple building, toilet and wall.
